IIRC from the lore, the three species (Angels/Demons/Dragons) were summoned to be weapons for humanity against a previous big threat, but the first ones summoned from each species mutated so badly and went insane they had to summon the 4th (True Spirit aka the black dot on the map) one to stop them. Unfortunately the 4th one went crazy as well, so now they are trying to manually create a Spirit (The Encore) on that world that can stop the 4th one without losing it.

so it's like introducing a new non-native species to deal with an invasive species? they did that once, it ended in disaster (also what happens irl), and they still want to do it again???
