the validated annoyance at this stupid love trope aside

if she needs a serious introspective dialogue like this, why's it not with the psychologist or whatever she woulda seen for her rehab? Why's it alone with the guy she assaulted?

well, we all know why, but good grief:aquadrink: :aquadrink:

Calm down anti-harem brigade.. I'm sure it'll end up being a case of the mc just racking up another losing heroine or two along the way :notlikethis:

Girl please, even if you're a literal semen demon you can't be this easy.
She did just explain that she was that easy, then did it to herself again while self reflecting on being too easy. At least she realized part of the problem, I guess?

I really hope this is a fake out and they just end up as friends. For someone like that, it would help her to have a guy that is her friend, but not romantically interested, because he is head over heels with someone else.

It's a cursed, doomed ship, yet it's headed out of harbor regardless.

Y'all are way too uptight about another girl catching feels for our boy. Losing heroines (and heroes) are an important part of a romance. They show that he's not just a low-standards horndog who'll follow the first crumb of attention he gets, and the contrast between who he likes and who he doesn't lets the story highlight what parts of their relationship bring them together.

There's a reason that stories that are all fluff with no drama, tension, or conflict are the literary equivalent of cotton candy. They might be briefly sweet, but they'll never satisfy you long term.

It's annoying but you are right, most are pissed but none actually wanted to stop reading this, drama like this makes it feels a bit real

Oh she's just the type to get attached easily huh? Well that sucks for her I guess.

REALLY hoping we'll go the route of:

Morozumi-san's thoughts said:
I MUST be normal with him. I have no right to even think about considering burdening him with me getting attached because
  1. he is Emu's.
  2. I am very clearly just rebounding on him because he is showing me the slightest morsel of kindness after my heart was broken
  3. I assaulted him
  4. he is EMU'S
  5. I ASSAULTED HIM

Akira Failing in Love is all fluff, with no drama, tension, or conflict, and it's amazing. Every chapter leaves me with a full belly. It's all a matter of opinion when it comes to what makes a story enjoyable.

Oh, for fucks sake, another "girl that the MC will have absolutely no interest in and only exists to stall because him and the FMC are a 5 minute conversation away from dating".

Hey, Japan, free revolutionary advice, maybe give the girl with relationship problems a relationship where she can actually learn and grow instead of one that is doomed to fail and leave her alone by the end.

I'm putting this on fraudwatch.
Let me offer an alternative: don't put her in any relationship and her continue re-evaluating what she did wrong, learn how to set her own boundaries and absolutely respect the boundaries of others so that she doesn't pull the shit she did again. Because let's face it, there's only so much a person can apologize for something before the one being apologized to replies in an annoyed tone with "do you actually mean it, or are you trying to ease your conscience?"

At least, that's how I see it.

Well, adding five minutes of earnest conversation makes her falling for him 1% believable, at least. But not at the cost of humanizing her before her first healthy crush crashes into the mountain. This just feels bad!

🎶In 27 years, I drank 50,000 beers, and they just wash against me like the sea into a pier🎶

I will say that delusional love is a theme of the series. Fujoshi lead learns to trade her fantasies for an IRL boyfriend! Misbehaving succubus learns to respect boundaries- theirs and hers! I bet next they'll write a teacher who decides not to fall in love with a student!

I was actually excited thinking this was going in the direction of her accepting she still had feelings for her guy and either facing him honestly or moving forward with those feelings and accepting that she was capable of truly holding romantic feelings for someone. The conversation itself was nice. She acknowledged that how she was facing herself and others was shallow and giving in to generalizations, but the turn at the end admitting that she did hold REAL feelings and that needed to be acknowledged was nice. Why the hell are we ruining with damn, "I instantly fell for this nice guy who was nice routine." I already this last chapter, but I hate that trope. It's honestly just insulting to both the characters and the audience. She deserves to not just be second fiddle love interest after all that. This chapter was doing a good job subverting expectations and just having a nice conversation to help her grow. Until the end. Why??

Whats also annoying is that this doesn't need to continue on lmao. The cliffhanger with her blushing face this chapter is basically the same bait as last chapter with her getting vulnerable and crying to the MC with red cheeks. Again the conversation was a lot better than I thought and had real opportunity. The way it moved with the MC bringing up how he would also feel insecure about his crush could've led to some development too. This dragging out on the constant bait (that'd be worse if true) that she developed feelings for him sucks.

Yeah this went about how i thought it would

The moment she is pushed on what the reason for what she did was, it becomes hard to defend and its not a I bow and apologised speech.

He is also enough of a straight man to keep asking on it so it helps with progress.

Is she going to catch feels? yes but its either going to be the classic doomed ship or maybe supporter who knows
