Sometimes I think manga readers are the worst critics of any medium, and sometimes I'm certain of it. Or maybe we're just too horny, and anything with sexual content gets a perfect 10 after just a few chapters. I don't know.

I can understand giving a manga 1 star after only a few chapters, but a perfect 10? Nope.

I have a 13-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, and his bladder isn't what it used to be. So I always wake up much earlier than I need to just to take him out to the backyard so he can go to the bathroom.

Today, when I took him out, I got distracted picking up the poop in the yard and lost track of him. The motherfucker went back inside and pissed on his EVA foam mat.

So, I had these sneakers sitting in a drawer for like eight years. I never wore them because they weren't very comfortable, but since my current pair has a worn-out sole, I took them out to wash them because I don't want to buy a new pair.

Halfway through washing one, the entire sole just peeled right off...

I guess everything really does have an expiration date.

Now I'm worried about my car tires. They're all past their expiration date, but they haven't reached the mileage where they need to be replaced, and the tread still looks fine. And tires are expensive...

Today I witnessed the origin of the term "bug" in computing firsthand.

My mom's Amazon Echo Dot stopped working, so I tried the basics: unplugging it. As soon as I pulled the power cable, ants streamed out of the auxiliary jack. I started tapping it, and an absurd number poured out, an entire nest with larvae and all. It worked again once they were evicted.

This reminded me of the famous Harvard Mark II incident in 1947, when engineers found a moth trapped in a relay and taped it into the logbook as the "first actual case of bug being found." That is why we call software glitches "bugs."

Nothing beats leftover pizza for breakfast. Except, maybe, a proper breakfast. But hey.

I'll do a 3days trip with my sister starting today.
I'll ride my bike from my house to hers tonight and then we go camping with her campervan to a camping ground near a mountain.

I went to buy dog food. After I got back to the car, I opened the trunk and set the key on the trunk cover while loading the dog food. Then I closed the trunk... with the keys still inside.

Such a rookie mistake. In 13 years of driving, this is the first time something like this has happened to me. I ended up losing two hours going back home to get the spare key and then returning to recover the car.

One manga trope I never get tired of is the ojou-sama with drill curls who acts like a villainess. The second I see those ringlets, I know I'm about to get peak smugness, that signature arrogant laughter, and plenty of over-the-top theatrics.

One type of manga reader I can't stand is the one who's always completely immersed in the story. No matter how bad the writing is, they'll find a way to defend it, either through mental gymnastics or by inventing explanations the author never actually put into the manga. Sometimes their interpretations even make sense, but that doesn't make the writing any better. They're just patching up something the author failed to convey properly. They also tend to write walls of text without saying much, and some will even admit the writing is bad, yet still feel compelled to defend it.

I've noticed that some of the erotica dumpster fires published by Young Magazine are starting to blur the line between erotica and porn.

The thing about erotica is that it usually censors things either by not drawing them or by drawing scenes in a way that certain details don't show. Now some of these erotica dumpster fires in Young Magazine are using whiteout to censor stuff instead.

I wonder if that was a publisher decision. Like they went, "Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for us to stop pretending our erotica manga with porn-level writing isn't porn. From now on, whiteout is allowed!"

Did something I haven't done in a long while. I saw the raw chapter of a manga, thought of a meme to make, and actually made it to post when the chapter gets translated.

I guess I only made it out of spite for part of the readership, but hey, motivation is motivation.

Kinda funny how some people get away with certain stuff. A guy repeatedly throws around accusations of misandry at anyone who doesn’t worship the main male character the same way he does, gets reported several times, and doesn’t even receive a warning.

I guess calling someone a misandrist doesn’t fall under Rule 1? Maybe moderators see it as criticism of your opinions rather than a direct attack on you, but that still feels weird to me. If your comments are being labeled misandry, then by extension you’re basically being called a misandrist.

Anyway, just venting. Thanks for reading my blog.
