He's partly at fault because he wasn't paying any attention until his son had already fucked everything up. If he had cared, none of this would've taken him by surprise.

But I also can't blame him for being dumbfounded at how stupid his son actually is. He didn't give a shit about the prince having a dozen mistresses as long as he still married the one girl he needed to, but the Prince managed to fuck even that up. The reveal that the Prince forged official documents just to terminate the engagement is wild.

The King is/was a complete fool. He let his son run wild abusing his royal status and only decided to step in way too late. Now he's forcing Serafina to risk her life to try and get them back together to keep her power for the royal family.
Sure the king wasn't openly hostile or evil to the MC but everything he did after the fact screams doom for the future of the kingdom. I'm sure her family will be thrilled the king is treating her like a thing to collect after the prince openly humiliated her.

I get it. It's a lot of work. And I very much appreciate your translations. If .1 .2 .3 makes it easier for you to translate. Do it that way. Just release a chapter once your .1 .2 .3 is done. Because us readers wish the chapter was combined to be 1 chapter. If Japan is releasing .1 .2 I would be willing to wait for the full chapter. I patiently waited for 1 full year until the next chapter of a manga I was reading.

Yeah. Honestly I still kinda blamed the king for not checking in more with his tutors but it’s 100% on the tutors to report that the future king of the country is skipping classes to play with his multiple girlfriends, all of whom are high ranking nobles who will probably hold a grudge
