Good choice on showing that despite being "superior" in the rational department, people are still people and they still want to be loved and surrounded by those they love an love them back. The mother is a saint... obviously the dad is ironically stupid for not understanding how feelings actually work.

Let's how things develop. Most of the issues are solved. I wonder if the story will try one last thing: they fail to expose Kazuha on time, the father still gets whooped by the news and his social standing take a shit on the face. The difference? I huge middle finger to Kazuha, turns out that if all that actually matters is the love that people have for you, social standing be damned! And Kazuha's precious pained expression? Replace by determination. You could not destroy them, and they still can hit HER back. Plan ruined; and the biggest hurdle has already past. Time to get the future they deserve!

To be fair, going for the next arc where they actually have to go through every step slowly would be pretty painful. The pace is quick, sure, but this is supposed to be the climax. I wish they had a bit more stakes though, it's the last leg and it all seems like things are that high stake. THAT is its biggest issue if you asked me, not the pace, but the stakes.

Better to have all the characters quickly go along with it rather than moping, second guessing and dragging it out.

Possibly an unpopular opinion, but I'm glad Futaba is (presumably) going to get a happy end out of this too.

Not as bad as I feared, but I'm still disappointed by the ending so far. Feels like a lot of deep rooted issues are being solved just by one talk with the person, which feels incongruous with the rest of the series. Also, I kind of liked the idea that Futaba WAS incompetent in some ways, but, no, we're just getting her being a super genius again without addressing her flaws.

One quibble, which I hope is wrong: Why did supposed brain genius Futaba-dad not wait to get Mommy Dearest investigated, until after getting Yotsuha adopted? Once her adoption is a fait accompli which Mommy Dearest can't overturn, she has no ammunition against him.
