A normal cat would also like meat more than milk.

Cat don't actually like milk aside from the one form their species. Cat are actually very lactose intolerant and drinking it can cause them severe stomach problems.
Giving them meat is better in every case even for young cats.

@Kampfarsch
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Mi%27raj
>Al-Mi'raj has been adapted into Dungeons & Dragons, as part of the 1st edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Fiend Folio.
annnnd because of that
>An enemy in the Dragon Quest series (アルミラージ ... arumirāji), first appearing in Dragon Quest III, where it is a low-level monster with a sleep attack used to render players helpless while it attacks. In U.S. localizations it has usually been renamed to "Spiked Hare", but its name is preserved in the Game Boy Color version [4] Unlike the normal legendary Miraj, this Mi'raj is purple with a white horn and white cheeks.
and then it's just DQ and it's massive influence on japanese fantasy

... Why does she need to use Cure on the horned rabbit before they cook it?
Let's assume it's to get rid of any potential diseases or parasites that could've been on it, but they still wanted to cook it for flavor and texture. And maybe her "cure" can also cleanse "harmful magical energy" that could be in monsters. Or at least that's the assumption that I'm going with

Maybe it's a Japanese Isekai variant of a "Jackalope", lol
