Pig out, chew it up and swallow.
Pig out, scarf it down and purge.
What are you, an idiot? Have you never heard of this thing called exercise? Have you never heard of eating in moderation? You think that being skinny is the key to happiness and when you find out it isn't you rubberband.
I'm incredibly disappointed.

there are few genres of literature i hate more than people continuing to make the same mistakes because they refuse to look inward. i know hamartia has been a big thing since the greeks, but it's the most frustrating fucking thing to read

It’s a really bittersweet ending. I get the feeling that she won’t be happy at any weight because she just doesn’t like herself. Because of her past experiences or how she is, idk. I also think that her beautician mocking her for blaming her weight on other people is only slightly wrong… it seemed like MC was surrounded by the most toxic people. Not very conducive for self actualization or finding happiness.

i get what you're saying, but this manga is about eating disorders. so repetition comes with the territory. eating disorders are like addiction. people often get sucked into them to cope or numb the pain that they're in because they feel powerless to stopping the actual root of whatever causing the pain

i agree. i think what she needs most is a new environment. being surrounded by people who are cruel to you will only make you hate yourself more and more. and when you hate who you are you'll always be unhappy. i hope she can just go some place else where she isn't bombarded with fake friends and mean coworkers and just focus on herself. she seemed to be close to her sister. maybe she could start spending time with her again. someone who actually gives a damn about her

so it seems the cycle continues. I was hoping for a more...at least, hopeful(?) resolution, but I guess that tragedy tag was there for a reason.
