It's based on a webnovel, so I'm guessing the major problem is that the source material itself is bad. WNs usually have poor writing and short chapters, which might explain why nothing much has happened in a dozen chapters.

I agree with OP that works tagged as "yaoi" and "yuri" can be targetted towards different audiences, and giving different tags to them would be nice, but I think there is merit in the argument that it's too niche. Let's see what the devs decide. For now mangaupdates is better suited for this...
