At least we can laugh together about how ironic it is someone can clearly have so much knowledge on martial arts while at the same time having a hilariously perspective on how to execute those martial arts in a story😂
Is it weird that I’m still trying to understand why the karate guy wasn’t added to this tournament? Maybe I’m just being biased towards side characters, but I feel like he could’ve been this manga’s Rihito. Feels like a waste
Now that you mention it, why wasn’t the one shot premise adapted? If I remember correctly, people actually liked that, and it legitimately had potential.
Yeah, it’s unfortunate because it basically means if there’s a pro athlete fighting on the screen, they’re essentially guaranteed to lose in humiliating fashion at this point unless something changes.
And that’s a dog shit way to write a story. No one wants to read another copy and paste of hajime no Ippo, where every MCfight devolves into the main character just Getting his ass beat and randomly winning. It fuckin sucks ass and using “mayweather had a great chin” isn’t an excuse for...
Bro that would GENUINELY be the funniest way to end this arc. Authorities think it’s all staged until one guy ends up, breaking his nondisclosure agreement and snitching left n right, and just before a winner is decided the Police fucking raid this but jobs House😂
Frankly, I wouldn’t be opposed to his coach finally doing his job for once, and throwing in the towel two chapters from now. Given what we know Aoba shouldn’t win this fight. Especially after chickening out on striking training with Yamamoto. If he has to resort to fighting like a lunk to win...
Yeah, to be honest, this development has me really disappointed in the author. This kind of meat head approach to dealing with fighting just feels really really lazy. Not only from a tactical perspective but from a narrative one. Aoba is supposed to be a thinking man amping hot heads. Motivated...
Yeah, I’m starting to feel like this this series keeps falling into the trap of using really powerful or interesting enemies way too early imo. they’re not inherently terrible ideas on their own(especially the old karate dude)just placed at the wrong point of the story imo.
I think we get a knife guy instead of a gun guy mostly because it’s surprisingly hard to get guns in Japan compared to the US. Especially if you’re an ex-con.
