I find their backstory a little hypocritical; so they obviously dislike humans for mistreating them towards the end of their time with humans, but humans dislike demons for the wars and being slaughtered by the demon king. It's just circular logic and hate. :pout:Then again, it hasn't actually...
Her: "I'm so nervous and unable to speak to others that it's ruined my life!!"
Also Her: Randomly embracing strangers and giving very personal long winded speeches without a thought...
Like, this is enjoyable, but she's a very inconsistent character so far.
Stories like this always make me have a sense of dread - like she actually did die, and she really did never change, and this is their heaven, or a multi-verse version of themselves.
There was another comic with a similar concept as this, with a divorced, fired, hated father. It turned out he...
I'd agree if he wasn't continuing to live a fairly decent life under the doctor's tutelage, and also been promised to have the spell broken at some point (if I'm recalling correctly?).
We all know that she hasn't really betrayed him. She's freeing him from the castle, and as others pointed out, probably made a move so that she can marry him - a typical japanese portrayal of a sibling relationship... :shamihuh:
I hope that it sticks with this style now, and actually develop that characters just a bit more.
Oh, he's going to be slaying "something", alright... :dogkek:
I'm thinking he is a pervert, not a 'lolicon', but actually a masochist who is getting off to her sharp tongue - which is why he doesn't actually want to win her heart and is ignoring the advice by rushing to the wedding.
That's my guess. :thonk:
So are we finally going to see a case of a male contestant (one of the twins seems to be male) turned into a female? It's not even something I'm looking forward to or anything, I'm just surprised it hasn't happened yet. :dogkek:
I'm still not following as to why he murdered Violet's mother? Was the Mother his sister? That'd be somewhat understandable - because the mother saw how he was being treated and did nothing - but it's hypocritical, since he himself did nothing either. :bleh:
I'm guessing the priest's fanaticism is actually caused by the drugs that hide his magic, though I wonder why he didn't attach to the uncle instead?
Speaking of the Uncle, ugh, his hypocrisy is driving me up the wall; "I was treated bad, therefore I must have REVENGE!! Also, I killed someone's...
Ah you're right, that does happen too - I haven't read the WN in some time. Though the comic is changing things around a fair amount, so we'll have to see if that's still the case.
Kind of feels like nothing happened in this series, and it feels lacking when compared to other cooking comics.
Still a quick breezy read though, so I won't complain too much.
Thanks for the translation, from five years after the fact. :dogkek:
