If anyone's being sloppy, it's the author- the left one says 'Boralis,' the right says 'Polaris.' It was the translator's choice to keep it true to the author's work.

For y'all that are wondering, she says 師匠 (Shishou), which is best translated to Master.
Obviously, Master has a 'higher' connotation than teacher. I think someone said they said they would prefer her call him (Teach), but I don't think that properly conveys the respect and esteem she has for him.
