Isekai authors really don't want to try anymore huh? Just make the most nonsensical whatever opening to justify a story.
If he is the only top rank hunter in the country, why isn't he treated like celebrity?
Ngl, I thought the author was going with the idea of MC doing his best to prevent messing with the story flow.
Now he just accepts the engagement with the main girl, and suddenly he wants to defeat the game's MC...
"I don't want to stand out, I just wanna watch like a camera."
"I don't want to kill this monster since it could affect the story and ruin muh OTP ship."
Damn, is this a new level of low even for isekai MCs ? Still, I'm glad that his action contradicts his ridiculous mindset.
The author wrote themselves into a corner.
Of course the idea of an MC employing traps to kill would fail when you make the villain so freaking powerful they smash through his traps like cookies that you then force a plot armor to bail the MC out.
And not even mention all that extreme gore...
Most Isekai authors don't know how to extend the story beyond their intial concept so they just make whatever that pop up in their mind, usually slice-of-life building simulator because those are simple.
After reading this author's earlier work (the dungeon one), I expect this will be another nonsensical plot with poor pacing but amazing fanservice. Followed.
