To me she's a country bumpkin / chuuni coded vampire. I'd need to see other vampires to learn how out of the norm she is though. For all we know whatever made vampires comply with rules to protect humans has left them all recluses who are a bit off when they do wander out into public.
So they are both messed up. Trying to seriously date three people vs pretending to be three people. Nobody has the high ground at the moment.
What would be really hilarious if she gets clued in to what two-timing is and becomes worried about getting caught dating three people.
I hope she forgives a more worthy person if she’s such a softy. Bald dude can go pound sand. I’m afraid if she rejects him a second time he might do something more drastic with how much hubris he has built up though.
Exactly. He had a bunch of merch and statues of the same looking person. He got a sex bot either used for that and/or converted into a companion. She was made to appear like a real idol and I’d bet that was never legal to do so she was kept hidden in his collection. When she was practicing her...
I feel like if she didn’t have the memory of someone who loved her erased she might not have fallen in with bad bfs and cheating. Removing both the biggest love and biggest pain in her life doesn’t seem to have improved her life at all. She got a warped version of what she wished for as a kid...
To me it seems like it’s being presented as parallel to the betrayal fans have of an idol getting outed as being in a relationship. People want their illusions maintained be it in the light or dark side of the entertainment world.
At least how they are presented here they have way less societal clutter in in their daily lives as gyaru. They get more of a pass on norms and don't acknowledge existing stigmas. Even their guidance counselor had a kind of "whelp, that's gyaru for you" and not exactly in a negative way either...
Enough with the trash MTL. And it’s embarrassing to see a single person cheer them on. If this gets dropped by a good scanlator you all get credit for it too.
If you reread the very first few chapters of the manga Lapis talks about how easy it is to manipulate a commoner just by being a little nice to them. Makes me wonder if she was talking about her own experience getting pulled out of an orphanage.
I had no problems with the pacing of the early chapters. I liked it the entire way through. It just felt like a normal manga. No more difficult than the set up for Shadows House for example.
Maybe people are adverse to a little mystery, but more likely pocket money in Japan only goes so far in...
