i adore the language used/way they speak in this one, it's so relatable! just normal conversations flowing from our two main character archetypes - like 99% of all manga has pretty forced/predictable dialogue, it's refreshing reading something like this
it's really hard work aiming to have better mental health, i wouldn't sugarcoat it with anything sappy or motivational or anything like that - it's just work, something you do each day and hope you're making progress
absolutely lovely liner notes sophie, can really feel how much love you have for this series and the medium - a quality translation team for a great series, appreciate your work in bringing it to us the readers all these years
cultural significance of the festival at the end? perhaps something relating to life/death? & then contrasted against his feelings towards the approaching death of his father
bit melancholic, which this series does well
new art/artist maybe? which would be the 3rd so far - i think i remember seeing some credit page saying there were various health issues impacting the team/speed they were doing new chapters?
also somewhere in the style guide it must have notes like 'all butts have to be drawn sexy'
i must be a manga pleb, because it looks fine/perfectly readable to me (maybe this reflects the unseen hardwork of the scanlation team tho)
chapter was good as well
i feel like it has to be this one: https://mangadex.org/title/ee3b13ab-00ba-42ef-a544-165ce8879975/to-be-ordinary
it's funny, because I think that's where I read about this condition in the first place! lol manga full circle
we all know this will be resolved and end up with some cute and fluffy outcome - it would be actual fire to read a series where they invoke the trope (whatever the trope is, in this case it's 'misinterpret overheard conversation') and then just stick with it
that's right you dumb kids, your...
the observation with the coffee cups was nice, and it was nice to see it recognised on the credits page (i know it's like super insignificant on one level, but attention to detail in art like this shows they care for the world they're depicting)
