Even excusing the waffle-like markings, those are way too thick for crepes. Maybe there is some remote place in the world that does crepes like that, but in the end I'm not sure why the artist went out of his way to draw the most waffle-looking crepes he could. Unless it is some weird...

Gotta love people feeling the need to derail even a wholesome manga thread with American politics.

For the LN, that seems to be the case. However, for the Web Novel there is still a lot to go through, at least from a quick glance at the chapters. This manga chapter is matching with the last chapter of WN part 4 and first chapters of part 5 (WN has 19 parts + epilogue).
