There's a note from the author in the Chinese version of this chapter to look at Mimihime's (missing) button on page 97 of Volume 4. It's a subtle detail that I missed the first time around. There are supposedly many more small details like this scattered throughout the series.

Okay, I know this is a very emotional and significant moment in the series, but I just can't get over Tachibana's proportions on page 18. She's just so … long.

@Raze Or just set the reader mode to "double page" and the direction to "right to left" if you're on desktop. That's how the reader for the untranslated version of the series is set up anyways.

Youmei seems to be echoing the words of the supplier for the Goldfish Teahouse from Chapter 22 (when Kudou is trying to find Guen/Gwen):

This detail seems to be overshadowed by Kudou's confession at the end of the chapter, but the other figure accompanying the suited man to whom Hebinuma is talking to appears to have the same pants and shoes as "Chin-san"—the old man waiting in Hebinuma's clinic (from page 6 of the chapter). I...

I guess the theme for this chapter is "goldfish".

This is a long stretch, but maybe Komatsu did give Sata something. Maybe it's the small fragment literally stuck in his mind.
