I feel like this manga has progressed so much since the early chapters - it feels so much less like a gag manga ever since the cast moved up to high school. Makes for a more engaging read, to me, especially with the developments in this volume.
All the other goofy shit about this manga aside, it is kind of sweet that any bit of romance from Gyno gets An fully tented even if she has no clue why it's happening. That boy better start practicing like the tailor did, lmao.
Entertainment value of this manga continues to be absolutely undefeated. A well-earned BL tag.
For god's sake please go back to molesting Sakai next chapter though.
That's this author's specialty. Sweat and Soap and Telework Yotabanashi both have that same focus on depicting the ebbs and flows of relationships in a grounded, realistic way.
To be clear on the last bit, that scene is explicitly framed in the author comments as being a fantasy and not canon, which implies that the rest of the fanbox IS canon, IMO. There's nothing else really outrageous enough on it that it wouldn't make sense in canon.
As a subscriber of the fanbox, it's fun to see these two inching towards the current state of things there in the main continuity. Wonder if, assuming we continue to get new chapters occasionally, we'll see it become official here, too.
Based on the Google translation, it sounds like the series was cancelled rather than the author wanting to move on or something, that sucks. I doubt the last chapter will be a satisfactory ending given how slow the progression was leading up to this...
