I'm glad that Sandbag lost. Out of all of the contestants, I felt like their gimmick and their backstory was the weakest. I didn't feel like they really had a reason to be shitheads nor did their performance really show off that they were actually good enough despite their attitudes to be winners.

I don't feel like the author was ever malicious or trying to do anything in bad faith, but it never really seemed like the author knew where to go with this series. First it's weird romance. Then there's some intrigue. Then suddenly it's an extremely dark and fucked up horror series with an AI...

Everyone in this series is so ridiculously overblown that there's not even really any kind of moral dilemma, is there? No one is asking "is it actually a good thing that the child rapist got sent to hell?" and the Mom isn't going to say "wait, why did you kill my abusive, psychopath husband?!"...

One of Dandadan's best qualities is that there are so few characters that get a single appearance. I had forgot entirely about Queen Sensei's introduction years ago, and then she's back!

Page 16 is maybe one of the worst Baki pages ever drawn.
