I feel like the, "I don't like trouble." line that's so popular in these is super annoying. Its normal not to like trouble and to want to avoid it. Its not really a line that's needed. Now, a character that likes trouble would actually need that explained since that's more abnormal.
As a visual...
@Psychronia This! All of this! It's like people blanked out and only started paying attention to the story after the flashback. They ignore how much of her perspective of people in this time line are based off of events that she caused in the last time line.
@IdanaHamz the text at the end is the merchant's thoughts. He pulled the MC back because he couldn't use appraisal on the MC and believed he was someone with enough power to protect the slave.
@johnpoop2529 Trying to figure out what that has to do with anything? Maybe you're to young to be reading this if thats the sort of question that pops into your mind.
@mxtsurim You're definitely right in the normal sense, but this is omegaverse. There are heat cycles and shit to deal with that would make consent and holding back a lot harder. Its wrong, but not the same level of wrong as our world.
@mrmoooose23 what do you mean awful parenting? He was a child talking about wanting to do an extremely dangerous job. Any good parent would try and discourage that especially when they're that young. Its not bad parenting to want your child to stay alive.
That aside, how did the mc get dumber...
