I'm wondering if it's differentiating between questions that literally end in "ka" (sort of like a verbal question mark) and questions that don't. For example Koko ha doko desu ka? Here is where ? And Koko doko? Here where Could both be translated as "Where is this?"

Eh that's sort of a known historical thing? Like you look at accounts of older freak shows and there's a ton of acts that obviously wouldn't fly today because it's obviously just someone with a rare physical disability or something.

It's also a good riff on how a lot of horror setups only work if the victim has xyz trait most people have and are ridiculously easy for people without that trait.

@MasterPannya It occurs to me that a) most of our collective knowledge about what happens to corpses in water is about cold water and b) some Japanese bathtubs have temperature settings. I don't know what would happen if you put a corpse in one and never turned the heat off.

Huh, felt like it was pretty obvious that demonization could happen in other ways. Books are old but they're not that old. Especially Japanese books written in a way that the characters in this would be able to read.

See I'd argue that Second Prince was already benefitting massively from the situation and Kuruhi didn't commit any actual crimes so Second Prince would look like an asshole if he pushed for Kuruhi to be exiled.
