@CannibalCandy1 didn't you read the note on the last chapter? It says the author explicitly said his name is Greed, not Grid. They're aware that the LN also says Grid, but the author's word is final.

@Pravum you are absolutely correct. I have yet to see even one story where the promise doesn't end in them getting together. And MC going to the childhood friend is even more unheard of for me
