Haven't tried Haskell yet, but from this I get the feeling that it's a good fit for more mathematical tasks and, perhaps, not as good for CRUD, GUI and stateful protocols. Is that somewhat true? Feels like Matlab, haha.
Not a big frontend dev, but I like Vue. It's easy to start with, feels standards compliant (doesn't invent a new language), seems to be more lightweight than React, but has similar functionality.

Vim. It's preinstalled everywhere, has good plugins that can match functionality with bulkier IDEs and it stops anxiety of accidentally messing things up with your mouse.
