This doesn't feel 'axed' levels of abrupt to me, just tighter paced. I would've liked it to go on a bit longer and explore their new friendship, but I can't call this a bad ending.
All in all, definitely one of the better (or best) manga I've read within its niche.

Yes, I did in fact know all of that. I said he "had a point this time" but that doesn't mean I wholly agree with his opinion.
It's nice that you're passionate about it, though.
I actually like his (and her) character. They don't dress it up and say he isn't a jerk – it's all class and time period stuff. And – most importantly – it's not too contrived. Often, these tropes come hand-in-hand with bad writing.
More like this, please.
