Yeah, I think it's a consequence of switching magazines, very likely an editor decision to have "recaps" even though the previous chapter would've only been 2 weeks prior.
Honestly probably best to just forget about this manga for a year or two and then binge it, if it's irksome enough.
It's incredibly fucked up that you can just launch yourself through walls with a simple enough setup, I hope we see something like pulling out a wood board to clip through the elite 4 meeting room
These chapter starts feel so innocuous compared to how they end, I'm kind of scared with what's in store for the later parts of this one since it "feels" contained, the bigger picture behind it might be more fucked up.
