It actually took me a while to figure out how to translate it too. In Japanese, it's ヒモ (himo), which has the exact same meaning as "kept man", so it's the only thing that really fits. I considered using gigolo or sugar baby, but those imply a sexual relationship.
I'm just as excited as you, and I haven't abandoned you. The author simply took a break and the series will continue March 27. I'll be working on the translation as soon as it drops <3
