As crazy as this series is, Kawashima seriously earned my sympathy here. Since Kimura apparently genuinely believes he can't become a romantic interest, our losing heroine's mission difficulty just increased from Very Hard to Nightmare!
At this point, Serina needs to look into other countries to defect too. We can talk about how dense she is 'til the cockatrices crow but, fact is, she doesn't deserve any of this crap.
