Since the first chapter gave me whiplash, his party members weren’t this bad in the novel.
The reasoning the novel is more or less the same but his teammates are less cold
The guild is merging his party and other parties together

The scales were anti magic, so the magic only worked on the necks after they were cut. And the eyes where Rudy stuck his hand.
But yeah Rudy got too close with guard down.
I probably should’ve written Unique skill.
But their unique skills are currently giving them all mental debuffs. Which is why they’re learning / using “Flexible Aura” to suppress the mental debuffs.
It’s pretty complicated in the LN too. All that’s there are the names and sometime they switch between using their first and last names. In manga they have the benefit of pictures with faces, so it’s easier.
In summary:
