You're reading into that wrong. It was discovered during the cloning process that Tokio's child had this power. Nothing about the clone specifically manifesting the power. It's either the original has it only and the clone doesn't or both of them have the same power.
wth, its ending next chapter.. I guess that story beat of finding who was behind the cosplay is tossed aside. almost as trashed as the childhood friend rearing its head again.
All that hype towards Taka being super sturdy only to be clobbered to death? Damn what a let down. Looks like he also got cut in the neck somehow. And his true power was cutting all along. Hmmm.... I guess the first Man-Eater might have Taka after all but he didn't appear ill before dying or...
I don't know how anyone could like this version better. Horrible translation and typos aside, the narrative flow is just terribly structured with how it jumps a bit in time and fast forwards a bunch of important events in passing. Just like it did between in the span of two pages this chapter.
