This just keeps getting better and better... I suspect that eventually Michiru will be an essential ally in the conflict(s) to come. She's another in a long line of initially scary but tragic and socially challenged folks Mieruko has befriended along the way.

I just realized it. Michiru, albeit a lil' bit on a spectrum, borderline yandere, is actually aint that bad.
i mean her body count is literally zero, despite being, well, insane. because most of what she thought precious is rejecting her or and being taken, she took the violence route, but not to the point of ending life. and when what she thought precious just out right rejects her, she just kept in her bag, and move away, instead of.. yknow, stalking the shit out of it until it dies.
man, i love how hana is just the right person for michiru. that pastry party was hella cute.

Imagine having a girl crying and hugging over you and suddenly "man I'm hungry" and just begins eating right in that moment, haha

Dunno why it didn't hit me before but you guys are right, Michiru is clearly autistic. And I'm not sure if the author is going there, but it would be likely then that the monster covering her face represents that, or maybe formed out of the pain of being rejected because she doesn't know how to interact with kids she want to be friends with.

Miko says she paradoxically has no trouble telling how Michiru feels, but the struggle is from her end, as she basically blind to anything else but her very strong feelings/delusions/expectations.

Really didn't expect that wholesome conclusion, it was beautiful. Even funny at the end, there's everything here, we're blessed.

I'm still waiting for a Training Arc! Because no matter how cool it was to see that Hana's kindness was just that powerful, they were nevertheless all blind to the danger they were in the second before it shone.

I may need to stop seeing this like if it was a shonen, but I feel like the world built is just too dangerous for them to stay powerless for so long.
I think that if you give Miko an actually meaningful way to fight back, you'd immediately kill the appeal of the manga

Edit:... Wait, her sister's name is actually You? I thought that was Michiru being rude lol

yea but the tentakel wasnt in the final panel so did it die too
What do you mean? We cant see the tentacle because we are not looking at it through mikos eye like in every other chapter. So either the tentacles is purified and turn into something else or it really dies along with michirus jealousy. The tentacle represent michiru "caccoon" so i suspect when Miko finally get to see michiru again, we will be seeing butterfly like spirit just flying around her, representing that she has change and transform. Seeing how this spirit clinging on someone will finally move the plot toward why her father still in their house.

It would put a stop to the original premise and make it a more classical ghost manga, nothing more, nothing less. I don't want this to turn into a shonen like Jujutsu Kaisen either, but in Miruko-chan itself, we already saw what it could be during the arc with the twin priests and the deity, with Rom and the master in the lead. Only it would start to be Miko now, maybe Hana and Julia.

There might be some brute-force exorcism for the low-level ghosts then, but for the others, you still need to understand what they are, the causes and what might work against them, the source of the curse, etc. (ex. Monogatari series, Mob Psycho 100) Every apparition is still a human life at the start, so there will always be a story to tell and unravel, even if Miko doesn't have to fear for her life at every encounter.
