The difference being real chickens are very much simple animals. Those creatures in the manga are much smarter than that. That's why I made my entire point. They aren't dumb animals.

While I am enjoying this and will continue to read it, I do question why they have a sapient creature that can understand spoken language caged like an animal.

Man, the writing quality in this manga is superb. Human Sage turned Lich Demon King grapples with his former and current humanity. What it means for the world, himself, and his deceased loved one. That on top of the consistent, phenomenal art makes this manga a constant treat. I'm so glad...

I mean, sure. If this wasn't like a dozen other isekai that use the same damn names. It just gives the impression that Japanese people just don't care about pet names at all. They give them the most basic name just to have something to call it.

Man, this boy is sure creative. Naming the chicks Shiro for the white one and Kuro for the black one. My god, how unoriginal could he get? I'm also wondering how the parent could not only speak, but also just said "Take my kids, idgaf if you raise or kill them. I'm out." Wtf is even going on?

This feels like a prologue and now we are done? Damn shame. I really enjoyed this. It's a shame because it feels like everything was just getting started.
