Hi, I just realized I missed the notification for ch 17.5! I will be scanlating that as soon as I can (ch 18 releases soon too!). I am on a work trip presently so it is a bit difficult, but I will do what I can :)

yeah, chapter 16 and 17 actually released at the same comiket (104), but he did the digital releases separate. So I personally think of 16/17 to be 1 chapter if that helps at all.

just an fyi for anyone coming to check, the new chapters (physical) are out in Japan rn. What is available on pixiv presently is just a preview, and the total page count of the two chapters (yes, two!) is around 130. Once the chapters are available on Pixiv, I will begin translating them :)

Just in case you didnt see/know, there were actually some really fantastic prequel chapters released (0.1-0.3). He aims to release a new chapter now every comiket for reference, so we will get stuff bi-annually. He already tweeted about working on ch16 too!

for anyone coming here wondering about the new chapter TL, it just dropped today and I am working on it (as of 9/3). Got some messages about it so I figured I would drop this here. It will take a while since it is 122 pages and I have less time than I used to, but should hopefully have it done...

got it, didn't even cross my mind that was the actual name in Japanese lol, I was using bulbapedia for the berry translations this chapter so it is very helpful. I just figured they were giving Surge's pikachu a "signature move" kinda thing lol. Thanks for letting me know, just fixed it!
