Morphine is minimalist, they don't even have a guitar. My best guess is around something like this: , hits most of the buttons and is easy to shout intstead of singing. Still propably not it, they have too many main characters in the band :)

Remember it's Hendrix on the guitar, it can't be ska. Always thought they're playing fusion, somehwere between rock, funk and jazz. It's hard, they have too many mismatched pieces, Hendrix on guitar, punk singer, brass section and even the keyboard player does hits instead of synths/backgrounds...
