    I think part of it is because a good chunk of his gear, combat experience and combat knowledge heavily relies on what he knew as a Berserker. It might be even entirely possible that he has gear strictly only a Berserker can use. AFAIR (because it's been too long at this rate) half the reason...

    It is. It's what Otoya told Nago on why he sucks at using Rising IXA (because he got blown away when using Final Rising Blast), because he's too uptight. Later on, he learns to use that to his advantage to kick against environment to Rider Kick the monster after the blast.

    @bluestar77 The prince is basically using advanced martial arts techniques while Mino is basically a big tough brawler. As long as you know how to counter your weaknesses, even with a strength gap you can win.

    @R-Mod Honestly, the whole "Sage" thing depends on the context. In his case, he got that title for reaching the peak of magic, not of social circles XD

    @Bidorchar I think it boils down to what Elon Musk once said: Just because you have a degree, it doesn't mean you're smart. Just because he managed to become a Sword Saint and a Sage, it doesn't mean he's necessarily full of common sense XD
