Hot take: everyone in this story deserves a slice of the blame for the hot mess it is. But while we all focus on Yuni and Fuuko (rightfully, since Yuni deserves like half the pie's worth), people acting like Nanase is totally blameless is kinda nuts. I mean, way back in volume 1, her and Yuni...
I might need to re-read this manga to be sure, but it doesn't seem like Natori is romantically interested in either Lapis or Diana (or at the very least doesn't realize it herself), so any romantic progress will be on hold until that happens, no? Natori mostly has the whole "I want to save Lapis...
Can we appreciate how either a) incompetent or b) desperate to bang the hero the receptionist is? "Oh, I forgot to unregister you from the group that kicked you out, but I'm sure that will in no way negatively affect you in the future and/or positively aid the hero, teehee~".
I actually love how short sighted characters are in this situation. Kinda like how alot of people irl focus on DPS and stuff like that (in gaming especially, but just look at who's the most popular character in most anime and it's usually the one who punches the hardest), it's easy to overlook...
Which makes her the winner, I think, especially given the title of the manga. Since despite her horniness, Mei does say at the very start that she wants a girlfriend, and Chiharu is definitely in the lead by a country mile on that front. She just needs to get her own harem of lesbian cuties to...
She's definitely still hung up on Mei. The two have way more history than any of the other girls so far (obviously) and they feel like the end game pairing ever since her first actual appearance.
Yeah, that was pretty much my first impression the first time Chiharu actually showed up. Feels like all the other girls are just here to bump up Mei's confidence so she can confess again at the end. Poor girls... Luckily they can find solace with each other though.
The big question, assuming there is actually a kiss, is will it be obscured by God rays or blooms of lilies?
Rolled my eyes a bit at Elsa getting mad at Yvonne for making an arbitrary decision when she's keeping Evie in the dark about how serious her own situation is.
These girls need a real...
I still have a gut feeling the story is a "one or none" deal, and that the childhood friend will be "the one". At least until the author kinda reveals what the other girls' deals are with each other. Seeing as we've gotten hints/mentions of Kaoru/Maria and the two from drama club.
I'm getting the impression that we're not getting any more of this series, sadly. Shame, since I was really enjoying it and it ends at a really frustrating point. Good, fun series like this get axed but Rent A Girlfriend gets to go on forever. I'll never understand the anime/manga industry/fandom.
So glad to see some sweet, sugary fluff. Hopefully the incest arc resolves quickly and Miki gives Ayaka a serious chance. Then we just need Momoka to realize Hajime is down bad so everyone gets a happy outcome.
