Absolutely awful ending.

Now that's an axe if I've ever seen one, and I've read a LOT of axed manga. These types of romance manga always seem to lose their identity or their idea in the first third then just either coast, or slip on a banana peel and either barely land, or plow through a glass window into a parked Semi.

@MrWaffleTheWaffle the "meta" part of the conversation where he talks about it being a romcom early on in the chapter is the 4th wall break. It's legit a meta joke, and it's becoming pretty meta in manga to talk about them in-universe.

Nice, short and sweet. It's drama was thankfully short-lived and only went on long enough to get the final 2/5ths of the runtime ready for the finish line. An easy 70-80/100,, with points for actually sticking its landing and having an ending, and a decent one at that, which is exceedingly rare...

What shit. Everyone that's the antagonist end up being jobbers (especially the Worms), or the protagonist team pull it out their ass, even more than what would happen in Ashura.

Also fuck it, if we can have fictional book-based animals introduced more than 110 chapters in, I want shit to go balls to the wall to compensate for losing the plot ("plot") and basic scenario, and the worst sin of all, being boring. Dragons, Hobbits, Goblins of all variety, DOOM-style Demons...

That was fucking stupid.

Holy shit, I think this is genuinely the longest arc in the series. It's already gone on for 12 chapters, and looks like there's going to be more. That's longer than any of the entire cast's introductory arcs and then some.

Saddened that it was most definitely an axe, or internal pressure to finish it, but it was a fun, then cute, then wild ride one after the other. Probably one of the few rom-coms in recent years to actually do well both on the com and the gradual but steady rom.

Is it bad that I'm more excited for all these recent arts ending that experiencing the arcs themselves? That or is says something about the writer. No, surely not that.

I was gonna say it's weird seeing smart phones in a flashback compared to most manga, especially when the cast are presently only in early college, but then time hit me, and smart phones have been a thing for 13 years.

She drugged him, but she also rewarded him, which is a next level move to gain points (that half worked).

Genuinely can't believe this still has an 8 after all the padding and cliche shit that this series has had tossed in it after around chapter 20. I miss Goat girl being the only real antagonist and side-plot, goddamn it.
