The translations do get better, and once you get farther down the story theres only 1 or 2 scanlation changes from around chapter 150. I know this is an old reply but if you still haven't read it yet, i suggest you do.

I think it was amazing. Havimg a cliche final enemy is just boring and not thought out. I think every good manga i've ever read never had a clear enemy at the end of the story.
