    I also went back to ch2 to check for dialogue and saw none. I'm guessing it might have been in the original novel but not in the adaptation.

    The T/N in chapter 21 says Ketsuhat is derived from "spanking with a bat," but the interpretation that I like is that ketsu (ass) + hat gives you asshat.
