Idk man she said that as a joke to the other friend of the group while they were joking together. Jokes like that are fairly common. The mc will obviously be a dunce like every mc ever, but that joke is clearly not something for someone to take seriously.

They paywall a couple of things here and there but never permanently that I've seen. They just release a few of their series earlier on their patreon. Which I can live with waiting a while longer if that what they do to pay for the raws.

Totally agree while I don't like lag that paywalls cause. at least with KDT I don't have to worry if I'll ever see another chapter like would with galaxy degen. That and their work is usually pretty good.
