How is this the mangaka's only manga? What happened to him?

This oneshot was so good. You really saw how Hirano was pretty much beat down from doing what he loved most. And then Nagata helped him up at his lowest point. When he didn't want to be pitied, she did what he loved to see understand him more! And now they do.

I'm sad that the author seemingly never published anything after this.

Nagata wasn't the hammer that drove the final nail in the coffin, but the threat and needle that allowed Hirano to mend his heart and dreams. Poetic, is it not?
