"And be a little more selfish."
That's something a lot of manga protagonists lack. No drive to do anything for themselves.

Those three days seems to have passed quickly. Despite the holdup in updates.

That could be a little bit of an awkward ride.

Kind of rare for someone to be suspicious like that, and then instantly reconsider. Even for good guys.

Rumours are bad, mmkay?

Oppose all you want, it's not your call. If there's something wrong about it, bring evidence.

This is like a fever dream. This prince appeared out of nowhere, surrounded by bad rumours, he's acting like a professional casanova every moment he's together with Pride. Yet nearly everybody instantly likes and trusts him. Is he using brainwashing magic? That's the only logical explanation. Perhaps he excluded Arthur from the charm magic on purpose, to turn everyone against him. If the others are all enamored, through the magic, and Arthur alone opposes him, it will ultimately lead to everybody shunning Arthur, as he will look like the unreasonable person, despite being the only sane one.

This certainly took a dark turn. Or maybe nothing like that is going on and the story merely became utterly incomprehensible for me.

I don't feel the way Pride tells to Val.. it kinda fell flat and, especially in how she worded "I won't take his hand".. it doesn't add up to how the light novels portrayed. She would've said "But now, I couldn't take his hand." instead of won't. Pride also thinks it would be nice for her to allow herself to have a fun adventure with Val and his kids only if he takes her away (and also if there is a mutual interest between them because she liked his company and he wants to get more in touch with his beloved master by being such a good loyal dog lol..) before planning Pride will passed the throne to Tiara, so it's not guaranteed that she could stay as the residing Queen while being a Crown Princess that everyone expects her to become the next ruler.

She can continue to serve the kingdom, but her promises lack of clarity and certainty, even though Pride has already dedicated herself to serving her people for the long term. It's too early for her to decide if there is a possibility to throw everything and live along with the three of them but it is quite unrealistic and impossible to persevere. Val's striking offer did gave Pride a little push to be more optimistic about her political dealings with those capture targets like Leon and somehow this also tempted her to run away if she cannot manage to keep up anymore. Pride is not the type of person who would easily abandon her sole mission to get everyone a happy ending, right?

On the afterthought, Val insisted on forming a proper vow by telling Pride to order him; she really does reconsiders this future escape plan like as how I read it in any way or pace given.

Look how he can grab Pride's cute, tiny, slender hand within just a second. He did it for the second time (back when Val accidentally grabbed Pride's hand), but this time... it was intentional.

Idk why they did not add Pride's other important internal monologue that Val wasn't a capture target so that she can rely on him more.

But dang, Pride has no time for love and romance at this moment. That wasn't her main priority since at the very beginning. She wouldn't think about much of her love life, but ahem everyone around her surely does. (I'm looking at you Stale and Arthur)

(Anyways, keep up the good work.. I've been waiting so long for this to scanlated to English!) 💖
