So I’ve got kind of a weird question, but in the original game, how exactly did the sister form a whole party Against pride, made up of all the people she’d hurt most? Doesn’t seem like pride would’ve let her get anywhere near her favorite toys.

plus, stale was under a slave contract and the fiancé locked himself in his room. Those feel like pretty hard people for her to have reached with enough frequency and consistency to form a party with them
Otome games find a way.

How old is Val?

Before anyone says, "But they had weird age gaps in the medival ages,” it's written by a modern author for a modern audience and a 16 year old with some guy maybe twice her age is still weird.

And then there's the whole slave contract....

Ahh yes, u̶n̶r̶e̶a̶l̶i̶s̶t̶i̶c̶ age gaps ruined me type of stuff..

Would rather not say how old a character is because that type mindset will always upset people over a fictional dynamic where some animated shows, series, mangas and written novels has this weird concept they always bring to the table they cannot lay a finger onto it. It's best just to gatekeep the entire thing and it is not meant for some ppl to know what they needed to hear to be known as problematic and controversial in which y'all cannot grasp.

I find that Adonis to be a creepy dude. But maybe that's because I am a man and this is josei manga. Perhaps many female readers find him adorable or something. I also can't get over the fact his own family and kingdom wanted to get rid of him, so they sent him to marry an allied kingdom's future queen! How the heck does that make any sense? The Anemone kingdom wouldn't want the neighbour's prince consort to be someone hostile to them, surely, and the Freesia royal house should be insulted by being offered a fiancé who's actually a reject in the Anemone kingdom. I see zero logic in this. This is extremely hard to continue to read. Pride's submissive attitude makes it still ten times worse. She says she has wonderful time with Adonis, yet at the same time she knows it all lies. How does that work? Why did the queen do this kind of thing to Pride, after Pride having proven her worth multiple times now?

What the heck happened to this story?

About Leon and the Fiance Arc.. A Summary HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD

Leon Adonis Coronaria, Trading Prince of Anemone Kingdom and Pride's soon-to-be ex-fiancé.

Leon was rumored as a playboy and a philanderer. Yet the villagers wanted his support because he was the appointed perfect Prince who would be crowned as a King one day soon. Leon's desire was to be praised by his citizens and monopolize them. He's a closeted narcissist at best. Leon was attracted to Pride's love for her kingdom, similar to what he truly likes, and that is what he truly ever wanted for a woman he desires. Pride understands through his fake smile under the facade. But Leon was a green flag (he's a good guy overall gets treated as a red flag despite himself faking his true self), is where Pride doesn't wanna deal with him because she gets traumatized for having nightmares about how she sadistically abused Leon on the game timeline.

In the original timeline, Pride manipulates Leon just to be shunned away from his hometown after his reputation was ruined by his two brothers Homer and Erwin, and feels betrayed. Locked him into a secluded room after they got officially engaged, then Pride psychologically tortured him, which drove Leon insane to make Leon fear her until Tiara came to save him.

But in this current phenomenon, Leon was such a Casanova. He can easily flirt things out and seduce Pride (but he's just also playing pretend because he never wanted to get engaged in a neighborhood kingdom in the first place.)
So Pride set up Leon to save his reputation by giving him a warning not fall into a trap after he went too fast on getting Pride jumped onto his arms. Leon understood that assignment by making a pinky promise but he broke it when he didn't follow Pride's warning from her precognition. Yet Leon realized he genuinely did love her by the time.

Back at the tavern, where he fell from the trap. Leon finds himself getting drunk or being drugged make a harsh news for those who witness that he was an incompetent, womanizer Prince. But Val saves Leon as a form of kidnapping him to protect Leon from those shady people and to clear his reputation, then meanwhile, the citizens find out that Prince Leon is missing, but Val sent the Prince while he was still unconscious for passed out in the tavern. So Pride asked Val to monitor the Prince while Pride was investigating Leon's case who drugged him at the village.

After she closed his case and cleared his bad reputation, Pride ended her engagement with him. She also wanted to form an alliance with the Anemone Kingdom, so she didn't wanna risk the chance of losing Leon as her business partner.

At the end, Pride and Leon are still friends and writing letters back and forth. But Leon is more invested in Val because he is the one who saved him from a potential threat or ambush.

the queen has no involvement in regards to leon's issue..
pride is conflicted if she can let leon to get engaged with her as they got married but both of them know that's not how they really wanted

Adding another info to your question..
I think you might've already heard the part that Tiara comforted Leon to get away in Pride's hands or control.. while Tiara saves Leon by giving him permission to value himself more.. and Leon became a yandere freak to her for being pure and kind-hearted. Tiara does the same for hyping up the rest of the capture targets, but Cedric was a special case. In every capture target's perspective.. Tiara's words weighs more than gold.

Because Tiara emotionally comforts Cedric with such encouraging words of affectionate displays, while Cedric hunches aren't wrong, as the last boss Queen Pride is such a cruel tyrant after blindly serving her evil deeds.. then Cedric wipes out all of his suspicions about Tiara as he trusts her so much, surprisingly.. Cedric and Tiara fell in love afterwards, as you can see the otome game cover of "Our Ray Of Light" as they are standing right next to each other

I wonder why this is familiar?
Is this one of those stuff that has multiple adaptation? :questionblob:
This manga got axed and had a artstyle change due to the previous mangaka artists's health condition. They had to postponed for at least after few years of the discontinued/cancelled previous manga, then it finally got reserialized with a new mangaka artist. So they decide to axed the manga within each arcs one at the time yet the downside of this which is, the pacing were a bit rushed.. These axed manga looks more like a doujinshi panels (in my opinion)

they should've choose a decent mangaka artist that is more appealing and closer to the previous manga artstyle from the short anthology manga series of lastame (bc there are so many wonderful artists participated to published those filler chapters tho :3 those scenes were kinda more fun and wholesome to read and lots of shippable moments between pride x arthur/stale but val only pops up on one panel ughh) :shamihuh:
