To me it seems like devils only seriously react to some stuff that directly involves them?

Like we've seen them get very mad about magic users blaspheming devils and Chidaruma got very mad that Asu kept helping Nikaido.

Thus far it seems like being their friend = they are more likely to do favors you ask of them and the way they fuck with you is different.
