from how it was implied by that white haired girl, she just drowning in power. maybe she afraid MC will takes her throne since he the one who helped her. hence she killed him.

Okay now that's a fairly interesting (albeit probably done before) way to travel back in time. MC using time travel in his dying moments, and his killer also regresses completely after they are also killed
