Idk if it's lazy writing but she comes off really badly. That wasn't lazy or uncaring but just being passive.

And the bad translation isn't helping. What the hell was that argument? It felt like both the staff were saying to close the gate and save the guy inside at the same time.
Also what the hell is her constellation/star even saying?
