Yeah, that's what I keep thinking lol. Rough sketches with some 3D stuff slapped on top of it. It doesn't help how jarring/bad looks when you see the cover art.thanks for the translation.
but i think i'll just wait for the anime, as the art for the manga is really disappointing.
the insomnia eye is still there
background is mostly template 3d stuff, so it doesn't fit.
the art feels like it's only done with pen tool. not to mention some is just not cleaned/refined yet(not TL's fault. for example, the close up of the saint/priestess in page 11 looks like something in between rough sketch and finished product)
and because i read the novel, it's just incongruent with my imagination.
again, thanks for the translation. i hope for the best.
novel reader community in discord really partied when the anime announcement dropped.Yeah, that's what I keep thinking lol. Rough sketches with some 3D stuff slapped on top of it. It doesn't help how jarring/bad looks when you see the cover art.
I didn't know there was an anime in the works, that just helped me drop this. I'll wait for the anime as well. Hopefully it's a better adaptation than this...
Reading this comment made me hope that the anime adaptation is intentionally smockful of horrid CGI, just to troll us allYeah, that's what I keep thinking lol. Rough sketches with some 3D stuff slapped on top of it. It doesn't help how jarring/bad looks when you see the cover art.

I took a look at the artists Instagram and yeah most of their work is cleaned up rough sketches and really rough 3D model art. They have a few posts that are cleaner looking than others here and there but it really looks like they just gave up getting past the basics.Yeah, that's what I keep thinking lol. Honestly with the current state of seasonals, I wouldn't hold my breath for the anime to be much better. At least the stills of characters in the trailer look better thoughthanks for the translation.
