background is mostly template 3d stuff, so it doesn't fit.
the art feels like it's only done with pen tool. not to mention some is just not cleaned/refined yet(not TL's fault. for example, the close up of the saint/priestess in page 11 looks like something in between rough sketch and finished product)

and because i read the novel, it's just incongruent with my imagination.

That woman's arts on page 13 and 14... Like... this artist seems to barely draw anything already, in comparison to most mangas. Then he decided to do sketch drawn surprise gag? Most of the pages were like a step or two above sketch level already...

I took a look at the artists Instagram and yeah most of their work is cleaned up rough sketches and really rough 3D model art. They have a few posts that are cleaner looking than others here and there but it really looks like they just gave up getting past the basics.

Honestly with the current state of seasonals, I wouldn't hold my breath for the anime to be much better. At least the stills of characters in the trailer look better though
