My bet is that she was horny and excited. It’s like when dogs and cats do some rough play and some minutes after they just act like they didn’t leave any scratches or bite marks on you, but in the wolf girl’s case it’s like they have human forms and see you as a potential mate.
I'm not so sure. I think the panel composition is pretty good at setting the characters in space and at describing events. It's not as detailed as a martial-arts manual type manga, but it's good enough to let us know what's happening. That's better than a lot of battle-focused big shonen titles.
Agreed that a mix of cute slice of life and occasional battle would be ideal! One thing I noticed in the close-up of Karina's eyes while she was deciding to use the beast folk for her revenge was that her Pupils were looking slitted. I wonder if there will be a theme about the human become more like a beast and the beast becoming more human?
It already seems like Reshutoka (sp?) has reframed some of her qualities that used to be poo-poo'd by the court as praiseworthy things instead. There might be some comedy in her trying to be a villainess as usual and Reshutoka reinterpreting things in a better direction.
I mean, it's as you said, she is a very flawed character. It might not actually be the prince, but she sees him and her sister as the cause of all her suffering so she's jumping to the assumption that this issue is also directly caused by him. It's the kind of thinking that's more common with those who are self absorbed.
