I always enjoy little bits of jealousy, as long as it's not overbearing.

Thanks for the translation.

Thanks for the TL I really like this manga. Its a shame we don't get chapters that often and now they are becoming half chapters :qq:

Why shorten 'Alexandra' to 'Xandra'? Why not 'Alex', instead? I get preferences at play here, but still.

I reckon the author named her アレクサンドラ (Arekusandora, as it is phonetically in Japanese) because he wanted to imply her dragon heritage. And the reason for choosing the latter part of her name as a nickname is to preserve that meaning, since "dora" is a shortened form of "doragon".

In Japanese, her name ends up being pronounced as "Sandora", almost "Sandra". The Japanese can't quite pronounce "Xandra", after all. The closest would've been "Zandra", but the raws clearly use サンドラ (Sandora).

Also, Harold's nickname is another case of Japanese being weird. In Japanese, his name is, phonetically, Harorudo (ハロルド). Horrible, I know. No clue why Japanese authors keep picking these European names that they are unable to pronounce properly.

Anyway, his nickname ends up being Haru (ハル). Yes, literally the name he had in his previous life.

So, Hal is actually a bad translation.

I personally can't pass judgment, since as a tot, Rs and Ls were both phonetically Ws for me. So I'd end up with a phrase like, "Don't bweak da wamp, dat's da wuwe!"

A dragon that wields a dragon-slaying sword is rather peculiar. It would be like giving someone a "human-slaying gun".
come to think of it, don't dragons in Elden Ring wield lightning to better fight eachother? If you're top of the food chain, your most powerful and unique weapons are probably meant for your own kind.

Also, as I recall from the novel, they aren't actually dragons themselves, they had a contract with a dragon and have some of their power or act as a representative.

This Frederica is a heroine...Given how the first game heroine introduced turned out to be such a revolting piece of shit I don't have high hopes for her personality
