There's about 80 chapters between the this and the last update. I'm sure she'll show up there. That said, I'm more confused why 499 is the "last chapter" and we are on 500 now

I've read the manga when it was still published and I have no memory of this Maruko, but whatever, all those random characters showed up later in the story once and never again, so I guess it's meaningless.

Komi when Chadano's virginity is in danger, but she's also the source of the danger:

They just graduated in chapter 499, and I assume this is about a week after they started college.
Since Japanese high school graduation is around March, and college usually April, I assume 2-3 weeks have passed between chapter 499 and 500.

Komi was totally stewing since they went to bed futon together. I'm not sure when that is, but I think before Christmas.
