Does seem like a mental block/stress from his mom too. Surprised no psych tag, because other than being mixed/born there or a “nepo baby” I don’t think “average” players get invited all the way to Italy (tho depending on how serious the story gets I wonder if it’ll have an element of racism/discrimination, American players I imagine is more likely to have a melting pot of diff ethnicities but i can totally imagine some countries being like “why are we depending on a Korean person to be a huge player versus a native)

I half expect a romance subplot with the childhood friend lol
