It's also more or less confirmed that saliva alone won't be enough, otherwise we'd have more cases already. Love may be necessary or not, but the desire to change (even if subconcious) is likely required. It's not stated that you need to be of succubus origin, but:

Okay, honestly, I'm not sure how accurate that is, but taking it at face value it would mean that Kanata has at least some succubus power in him, but it's very weak. It's not clear, if Kanata had a succubus ancestor but the blood has thinned out too much or if the aura is simply weak because the transformation is a side-effect of Haruki's saliva and not caused by his own power at all.
